Sañjaya said: To honor Bhimasena’s request and to safeguard him, Hanuman—the son of the Wind—will mount that banner, establishing there a manifestation of his own form for the time of battle. The episode underscores protective grace granted through kinship, devotion, and righteous alliance in a just war.

Righteous strength is supported by humility and rightful seeking of protection: Bhima’s request is honored, and Hanuman’s presence on the banner symbolizes moral courage, restraint, and divine support aligned with dharma rather than mere aggression.
Sanjaya reports that Hanuman, the Wind-god’s son, will take his place on the chariot-banner as a visible manifestation, serving as a protective guardian for Bhima during the coming battle.
