sañjaya uvāca: atīva mudito rājan yuddha-prepsur yudhiṣṭhiraḥ | bhīmasenārjunau cobhau yamāv api na bibhyataḥ ||
Sañjaya said: O King, Yudhiṣṭhira—eager for battle—has become inwardly exceedingly glad. Bhīmasena and Arjuna, and the twin brothers as well, are not afraid. The verse frames the Pāṇḍavas’ readiness for war not as rashness but as a settled resolve shaped by duty and the necessity of confronting injustice.

The verse highlights dharmic resolve: when conflict becomes unavoidable to uphold justice, the righteous do not act from fear or anger but from steady determination and clarity of duty.
Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Yudhiṣṭhira is inwardly pleased and intent on war, and that Bhīma, Arjuna, and the twins Nakula and Sahadeva are likewise unafraid—signaling the Pāṇḍavas’ readiness for the coming confrontation.
