Drupada said: “Make haste, so that our summons reaches the kings in good time, even before they need to be urged again. In my judgment, a great undertaking lies before us, and we must be ready to bear its weight.”

Timely action and shared responsibility are essential in statecraft: when a major duty approaches, leaders must act promptly, coordinate allies early, and be prepared to shoulder the moral and practical burden of the undertaking.
Drupada urges his people to hurry in sending invitations/summons to various kings so that support is secured in advance. He frames the coming situation as a ‘great task’ that must be carried collectively, signaling preparation for a large political-military effort.
