Udyoga Parva, Adhyāya 38
श्रीमन्तं ज्ञातिमासाद्य यो ज्ञातिरवसीदति । दिग्थहस्तं मृग इव स एनस्तस्य विन्दति
If a kinsman approaches a wealthy relative and, because of that very relative, falls into misery—like a beast that draws near a hunter holding poisoned arrows and must suffer—then the share of sin for that suffering is borne by the wealthy kinsman.
