नरश्रेष्ठी इस समय रथके वेगसे हिलने-डुलनेके कारण मैं थक गया हूँ, यदि आज्ञा हो तो सोनेके लिये जाऊँ। प्रातःकाल जब सभी कौरव सभामें एकत्र होंगे, उस समय वे अजातशत्रु युधिष्ठिरके वचन सुनेंगे ।।
dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca | anujñāto 'sy āvasathaṃ parehi prapadyasva śayanaṃ sūtaputra | prātaḥ śrotāraḥ kuravaḥ sabhāyām ajātaśatror vacanaṃ tvayoktam ||
Dhṛtarāṣṭra said: “Sūta’s son, you are permitted—go now to your lodging and take rest. At dawn, when the Kurus assemble in the royal hall, they will hear from your mouth the message spoken by Ajātaśatru (Yudhiṣṭhira).”
धृतराष्ट उवाच
Even at a tense political moment, royal conduct emphasizes order, propriety, and accountability: the messenger rests, then delivers the message publicly before the assembled Kurus, ensuring transparency and collective hearing.
Dhṛtarāṣṭra dismisses Sañjaya for the night, instructing him to go to his lodging and sleep. He plans that at dawn, in the Kuru assembly hall, the gathered Kurus will hear Yudhiṣṭhira’s message as delivered by Sañjaya.
