सात्यकिश्न महेष्वासो वृष्णीनां प्रवरो रथ: । वृत: शतसहस्रेण रथानां प्रणुदन् बली,वृष्णिवंशके प्रमुख महारथी महान् धनुर्धर बलवान् सात्यकि एक लाख रथियोंसे घिरकर गर्जना करते हुए आगे बढ़ रहे थे
Vaiśampāyana uvāca |
Sātyakiś ca mahēṣvāso Vṛṣṇīnāṁ pravaro rathaḥ |
Vṛtaḥ śata-sahasreṇa rathānāṁ praṇudan balī ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Sātyaki, the mighty archer and foremost chariot-warrior of the Vṛṣṇis, advanced with force, driving back the enemy chariots, though surrounded by a hundred thousand chariots. The verse highlights martial excellence joined with steadfast resolve amid overwhelming odds.
