भीष्म-द्रोणादिभिः पाण्डवसेनाक्षयकाल-निर्णयः | Time-estimates for the depletion of the Pāṇḍava forces

आहवेषु परॉल्लोकान्‌ जिगीषन्तो महाबला: । एकाग्रमनस: सर्वे श्रद्दधाना: परस्परम्‌,वे महाबली वीर युद्धमें पराक्रम दिखाकर उत्तम लोकोंपर विजय पाना चाहते थे। उन सबका चित्त एकाग्र था और वे सभी एक-दूसरेपर विश्वास करते थे

āhaveṣu parāṁl lokān jigīṣanto mahābalāḥ | ekāgramanasaḥ sarve śraddadhānāḥ parasparam ||

Vaiśaṃpāyana said: In the clashes of war, those mighty warriors, eager to win the highest worlds beyond, kept their minds wholly focused. Each trusted the other, and with mutual confidence they pressed on.
