आहवेषु परॉल्लोकान् जिगीषन्तो महाबला: । एकाग्रमनस: सर्वे श्रद्दधाना: परस्परम्,वे महाबली वीर युद्धमें पराक्रम दिखाकर उत्तम लोकोंपर विजय पाना चाहते थे। उन सबका चित्त एकाग्र था और वे सभी एक-दूसरेपर विश्वास करते थे
āhaveṣu parāṁl lokān jigīṣanto mahābalāḥ | ekāgramanasaḥ sarve śraddadhānāḥ parasparam ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana said: In the clashes of war, those mighty warriors, eager to win the highest worlds beyond, kept their minds wholly focused. Each trusted the other, and with mutual confidence they pressed on.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights a kṣatriya ideal: disciplined focus (ekāgratā) and mutual trust (paraspara-śraddhā) in pursuing a goal believed to be righteous and rewarding—here framed as winning ‘higher worlds’ through courageous action.
Vaiśaṃpāyana describes a group of mighty warriors preparing for or engaging in battle: they are intent on victory and the honor/merit associated with it, acting with concentrated minds and confidence in one another.
