सेनासमागमः — The Convergence of Armies
तथैव पाण्ड्यो राजेन्द्र सागरानूपवासिभि: । वृतो बहुविधैर्योधैर्युधिष्ठिरमुपागमत्
tathaiva pāṇḍyo rājendra sāgarānūpavāsibhiḥ | vṛto bahuvidhair yodhair yudhiṣṭhiram upāgamat ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana said: “In the same way, O king, the Pāṇḍya ruler—surrounded by many kinds of warriors from the coastal regions by the sea—came to Yudhiṣṭhira.”
वैशमग्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores how rulers and peoples align themselves with a cause they deem rightful; political support is portrayed as flowing toward perceived dharma and legitimate leadership, especially on the eve of war.
Vaiśaṃpāyana continues listing allies who come to support Yudhiṣṭhira: the Pāṇḍya king arrives, accompanied by diverse warriors from the sea-coast regions.
