Vaiśaṃpāyana said: Kṛtavarmā, the son of Hṛdīka, also came together with the Bhojas, Andhakas, and Kukuras—signaling the gathering of Yādava-affiliated clans whose loyalties and alliances would bear ethical weight in the unfolding conflict.
वैशमग्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights how collective identity—clan, lineage, and alliance—shapes moral responsibility in times of political crisis; who joins whom is not merely strategic but ethically consequential in the Mahābhārata’s dharma-centered narrative.
The narrator lists participants assembling: Kṛtavarmā arrives accompanied by the Bhoja, Andhaka, and Kukura groups, indicating the mobilization and alignment of Yādava-associated forces within the broader pre-war developments of the Udyoga Parva.
