Vaiśaṃpāyana said: Drupada’s army too was already present there—adorned by valiant warriors who had come from many different lands, and also by his own sons, mighty chariot-fighters.

The verse highlights the ethical weight of preparedness and alliance in a looming conflict: rulers gather capable protectors from many regions, and family responsibility (sons as mahārathas) becomes part of the collective duty to uphold their side’s cause.
Vaiśaṃpāyana describes the military situation: Drupada’s forces are already stationed there, strengthened and beautified by brave warriors arriving from various lands and by Drupada’s own sons, renowned as great chariot-fighters.
