Bhishma said: “Fully equipped with mighty weapons and furnished with every requisite of war, it was handled in battle by a heroic warrior of that very lineage—one skilled in the science of horses.”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the kṣatriya ideal of disciplined readiness: power in war is not merely possession of weapons, but proper equipment, training, and specialized knowledge (here, horsemanship), exercised responsibly by a worthy warrior of established lineage.
Bhīṣma describes a battle-ready martial setup—armed with formidable weapons and complete gear—being employed in combat by a valiant man of the same family line, distinguished by expertise in the science of horses.
