अम्बा–राम–भीष्म संवादः

Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge

अतदर्हा महाभागा भगीरथसुतानघा । या त्वामजीजनन्मन्दं युद्धकामुकमातुरम्‌

atadarhā mahābhāgā bhagīrathasutānaghā | yā tvām ajījanan mandaṃ yuddhakāmukam āturam ||

Bhishma said: “The noble, sinless Ganga—daughter of Bhagiratha—does not truly deserve to witness such suffering. Yet, since she gave birth to you—foolish, fevered with impatience, and enamored of war—she must inevitably bear this pain.”
