प्राग्ज्योतिषाधिपो वीरो भगदत्त: प्रतापवान्‌ | गजाड्कुशधरश्रेष्ठोी रथे चैव विशारद:

Transliteration

prāgjyotiṣādhipo vīro bhagadattaḥ pratāpavān | gajāṅkuśadharaśreṣṭho rathe caiva viśāradaḥ ||

Translation

Bhīṣma said: “Bhagadatta, the valiant and mighty lord of Pragjyotiṣa, is a king of great prowess. Among those who wield the elephant-goad and master the control of war-elephants, he stands foremost; and he is also highly skilled in chariot-combat.”
