Bhīṣma and Droṇa’s Counsel of Conciliation to Duryodhana

“And you too, O Kṛṣṇa, will bring all of that to completion exactly as it has been declared. I do not find fault with it at all, for the heavenly voice has spoken as it did. If dharma truly has sovereign force in the world, then those words will prove true in that very form.”
The verse affirms confidence in dharma and in Kṛṣṇa’s agency: when a divine pronouncement aligns with dharma, it will come to pass, and one should not respond with envy or fault-finding but with ethical acceptance and steadiness.
In the tense lead-up to the great conflict, a speaker addresses Kṛṣṇa, referring to a prior heavenly proclamation (ākāśavāṇī). The speaker expresses that Kṛṣṇa will fulfill what was foretold and declares no suspicion or criticism of the divine message, grounding this trust in the authority of dharma.
