O mighty-armed one, go and tell Arjuna—the tiger among men, the foremost of all who bear weapons—that he should proceed along the course desired by Kṛṣṇā (Draupadī).
पुत्र उवाच
Power and skill (Arjuna’s unmatched weapon-bearing prowess) are to be guided by dharma and rightful purpose—here, aligning action with Draupadī’s legitimate intention rather than acting from ego or impulse.
A son addresses a ‘mighty-armed’ person and instructs him to convey a message to Arjuna, praising Arjuna as the foremost warrior and urging him to follow the course desired by Draupadī.
