Udyoga Parva Adhyāya 132 — Vidura’s Counsel on Udyama, Yaśas, and Kṣātra-Dharma
एभ्यो निकृतिपापे भ्य: प्रमुड्चात्मानमात्मना
ebhyo nikṛtipāpebhyaḥ pramuñcātmānam ātmanā
Vāyu said: “By your own inner strength and discernment, free yourself from these sinful acts of deceit.”
वायुदेव उवाच
One should abandon deceitful, sinful conduct and reclaim moral freedom through one’s own resolve and self-governance; ethical reform is presented as a personal responsibility.
Vāyu (the wind-god) speaks a direct admonition, urging the listener to break away from wrongdoing—specifically deceit—by relying on inner strength rather than external excuses or supports.
