Adhyāya 128 — Proposal to Restrain Keśava; Sātyaki’s Warning and Vidura–Dhṛtarāṣṭra Counsel

अपि लोभाभि भूतस्य पन्थानमनुदर्शयेत्‌ । दुर्बुद्धेर्दु:सहायस्य शमार्थ ब्रुवती वच:

“Perhaps she may yet show the path to one overcome by greed. Duryodhana is falling under the sway of covetous desire for sovereignty; his judgment is tainted, and those who aid him are themselves of wicked disposition. It may be that Gāndhārī, speaking words for the sake of peace, can make him behold the righteous way.”
