नारद उवाच
Merit arises from one’s own righteous actions and can also be strengthened through the accumulated virtue of one’s descendants; true splendor is portrayed as the ethical radiance produced by dharmic karma.
Nārada describes King Yayāti’s exalted condition: having reached a firm, unshakable status through the merit connected with his grandsons, Yayāti shines with extraordinary glory, further enhanced by his own good deeds.
