गालवेन उशीनरराजसमागमः

Gālava’s Audience with King Uśīnara

यथा नारायणो लक्ष्म्यां जाल्नव्यां च यथोदघि: । यथा रुद्रश्न रुद्राण्यां यथा वेद्यां पितामह:,राजर्षि दिवोदास माधवीमें अनुरक्त होकर उसके साथ रमण करने लगे। जैसे सूर्य प्रभावतीके, अग्नि स्वाहाके, देवेन्द्र शचीके, चन्द्रमा रोहिणीके, यमराज धूमोणाके, वरुण गौरीके, कुबेर ऋद्धिके, नारायण लक्ष्मीके, समुद्र गंगाके, रुद्रदेव रुद्राणीके, पितामह ब्रह्मा वेदीके, वसिष्ठनन्दन शक्ति अदृश्यन्तीके, वसिष्ठ अक्षमाला (अरुन्धती)-के, च्यवन सुकन्याके, पुलस्त्य संध्याके, अगस्त्य विदर्भराजकुमारी लोपामुद्राके, सत्यवान्‌ सावित्रीके, भगु पुलोमाके, कश्यप अदितिके, जमदग्नि रेणुकाके, कुशिकवंशी विश्वामित्र हैमवर्तीके, बृहस्पति ताराके, शुक्र शतपर्वाके, भूमिपति भूमिके, पुरूरवा उर्वशीके, ऋचीक सत्यवतीके, मनु सरस्वतीके, दुष्यन्त शकुन्तलाके, सनातन धर्मदेव धृतिके, नल दमयन्तीके, नारद सत्यवतीके, जरत्कारु मुनि नागकन्या जरत्कारुके, पुलस्त्य प्रतीच्याके, ऊर्णायु मेनकाके, तुम्बुरु रम्भाके, वासुकि शतशीर्षके, धनंजय कुमारीके, श्रीरामचन्द्रजी विदेहनन्दिनी सीताके तथा भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्ण रुक्मिणी देवीके साथ रमण करते हैं, उसी प्रकार अपने साथ रमण करनेवाले राजा दिवोदासके वीर्यसे माधवीने प्रतर्दन नामक एक पुत्र उत्पन्न किया

yathā nārāyaṇo lakṣmyāṃ jāhnavyāṃ ca yathodadhiḥ | yathā rudraś ca rudrāṇyāṃ yathā vedyāṃ pitāmahaḥ ||

Divodāsa said: “As Nārāyaṇa delights with Lakṣmī, as the Ocean is joined with the Jāhnavī (Gaṅgā), as Rudra is united with Rudrāṇī, and as the Grandsire (Brahmā) is associated with the Vedī—so too did I, Divodāsa, grow deeply attached to Mādhavī and sport with her.” From the king’s virile potency, Mādhavī conceived and bore a son named Pratardana.
