दक्षिणा-दिक्, पितृपक्ष-प्रतिष्ठा, तथा कर्मगतिः — Suparṇa’s Cosmographic Instruction
अदोमूला सुराणां श्रीर्यत्र शक्रो5 भ्यषिच्यत । सुरराज्येन विप्रर्षे देवैश्ञात्र तपश्चितम्
adomūlā surāṇāṃ śrīr yatra śakro 'bhyasicyata | surarājyena viprarṣe devaiś cātra tapaś citam ||
Yūparṇa said: “The very root-source of the gods’ prosperity lies there, where Śakra (Indra) was first consecrated to the sovereignty of the gods. O brahmarṣi, it is in that very quarter as well that the gods performed austerities.”
