दक्षिणा-दिक्, पितृपक्ष-प्रतिष्ठा, तथा कर्मगतिः — Suparṇa’s Cosmographic Instruction
कृतं यतो हुत॑ हव्यं सर्पते सर्वतोदिशम् । एतद द्वारं द्विजश्रेष्ठ दिवसस्य तथाध्वन:
yūparṇa uvāca |
kṛtaṃ yato hutaṃ havyaṃ sarpate sarvato diśam |
etad dvāraṃ dvijaśreṣṭha divasasya tathādhvanaḥ ||
Yūparṇa said: “From the place where the oblation (havis) has been duly offered, the sacrificial offering spreads in every direction. This, O best of Brahmins, is the gateway of the day—and likewise the gateway of the journey, the path onward.”
