Narada said: “O Mātali, this is the realm of the Suparṇas—Garuda’s lineage of birds, devourers of serpents. In feats of valor, in swift flight across great distances, and in bearing heavy loads, they feel no fatigue at all.”
नारद उवाच
The verse highlights extraordinary capability without fatigue as a defining trait of certain higher beings; it frames power as an innate endowment in specific realms, setting a contrast with human limitation and effort.
Narada is guiding Mātali through a tour of worlds and identifies this region as the realm of the Suparṇas (Garuda’s bird-kin), describing their nature—serpent-eating and tireless in valor, flight, and carrying burdens.
