इत्येष विधिरुद्दिष्टो मया ते द्विपदां वर । श्रद्दधानेन वै भाव्यं यन्मां त्वं परिपृच्छसि

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: “Thus, O king, best among men, in accordance with what you asked of me, I have set forth this ordinance: the proper way to listen to the Mahābhārata and to complete its recitation. You should place your faith in it.”
