Svargārohaṇa-parva Adhyāya 5 — Karmaphala-Nirdeśa and Phalāśruti (कर्मफलनिर्देशः फलश्रुतिश्च)
इमां भारतसावित्रीं प्रातरुत्थाय यः पठेत् । स भारतफल प्राप्य परं ब्रह्माधिगच्छति
imāṃ bhāratasāvitrīṃ prātar utthāya yaḥ paṭhet | sa bhārata-phalaṃ prāpya paraṃ brahmādhigacchati ||
Vaiśampāyana said: “Whoever rises early in the morning and recites this ‘Bhārata-Sāvitrī’—the essence-like instruction distilled from the Mahābhārata—obtains the full merit of studying the entire epic and, through that fruit, attains the Supreme Brahman.”
