सुहन्मित्रविनाश श्व दैवयोगादुपागत: । को<न्यो<$स्ति दुःखिततरो मत्तो5न्यो हि पुमान् भुवि,अब मेरा बुढ़ापा आ गया, सारे बन्धु-बान्धवोंका विनाश हो गया और दैववश मेरे सुहृदों तथा मित्रोंका भी अन्त हो गया। भला, इस भूमण्डलमें अब मुझसे बढ़कर महान् दुःखी दूसरा कौन होगा?
Translation
And by the conjunction of fate, the destruction of my well-wishers and friends has come to pass. On this earth, is there any man more sorrow-stricken than I?
