नदी मधुरपानीया यथा राजंस्तथा भवान् | भूपाल! आप विषैले सर्पोसे घिरे हुए कुएँके समान हैं
Translation
O king, you are like a river whose waters are sweet to drink. Yet, O lord of the earth, you are also like a well ringed about by venomous serpents—none dare draw near. Now your condition has become like that sweet-watered river whose landing is hard to reach: its banks rise steep and high, and thickets of karīl shrubs and tangles of cane-vines spread on every side.
