उपेत्य तस्यावभथे पूता: सर्वे भवन्ति ते । राजन्! यदि आप यज्ञ नहीं करेंगे तो आपको सारे राज्यका पाप लगेगा। जिन देशोंके राजा दक्षिणायुक्त अश्वमेध यज्ञके द्वारा भगवान्का यजन करते हैं
Translation
When the Avabhṛtha—the concluding purificatory bath of the sacrifice—is reached, all who come there are made pure. O king, if you do not perform sacrifice, the sin of the whole realm will fall upon you. In those lands whose kings worship the Lord through the Aśvamedha, endowed with due dakṣiṇā (prescribed gifts), when the rite is completed all the people gather, perform the Avabhṛtha bath, and become purified.
