Arjuna said: “Even the royal sages attain heaven through that dharma of yours, which is being set forth. Just as waters flow out from a full ocean toward all ten directions, so too does this teaching of dharma spread forth—abundant and beneficent—toward every quarter.”

Dharma, when rightly taught and practiced, is not narrow or sectarian: it is abundant, life-sustaining, and beneficial in every direction. Arjuna acknowledges that such dharma elevates even rulers to the status and destiny of royal sages, culminating in heavenly attainment.
Arjuna speaks in response to an ongoing exposition of dharma. He affirms the speaker’s teaching by comparing it to waters flowing from a full ocean into all ten directions, suggesting the instruction is comprehensive, overflowing, and universally applicable.
