Daṇḍanīti and the King as the Cause of Yuga-Order (दण्डनीतिः राजधर्मश्च युगकारणत्वम्)
इस जगत्में उस समय रोग नहीं होते, कोई भी मनुष्य अल्पायु नहीं दिखायी देता, स्त्रियाँ विधवा नहीं होती हैं तथा कोई भी मनुष्य दीन-दुखी नहीं होता है ।।
akṛṣṭapacyā pṛthivī bhavanty oṣadhayas tathā | tvakpatraphalamūlāni vīryavanti bhavanti ca ||
Bhishma says that in that age the earth yields food without being ploughed or sown, and medicinal herbs arise of themselves. Even their bark, leaves, fruits, and roots are naturally potent—signs of a world sustained by righteousness, where human life is free from the usual burdens of scarcity and suffering.
