Kṛṣṇa’s Dhyāna and the Prompt to Question Bhīṣma (कृष्णध्यानं भीष्मप्रश्नप्रेरणा च)
सुग्रीवशैब्यप्रमुखैर्वरा श्वै- मनोजवै: काञ्चनभूषिताड्रैः । संयुक्तमावेदयदच्युताय कृताञ्जलिदररुिको राजसिंह
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
sugrīva-śaibya-pramukhair varāśvaiḥ manojavaiḥ kāñcana-bhūṣitāṅgaiḥ |
saṃyuktam āvedayad acyutāya kṛtāñjalir dāruko rāja-siṃha ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Dāruka, with hands joined in reverence, informed Acyuta (Kṛṣṇa) that the excellent chariot had been made ready and yoked. It was harnessed with superb horses—led by Sugrīva and Śaibya—swift as the mind and adorned with golden trappings. The scene underscores disciplined service and devotion: the charioteer’s careful preparation and respectful report reflect duty performed with humility toward the divine leader.
