Kṛṣṇa’s Dhyāna and the Prompt to Question Bhīṣma (कृष्णध्यानं भीष्मप्रश्नप्रेरणा च)
स सात्यकेराशु वचो निशम्य रथोत्तमं काउ्चनभूषिताड़म् । मसारगल्वर्कमयैर्विभज्लै- विभूषितं हेमनिबद्धचक्रम्
sa sātyaker āśu vaco niśamya rathottamaṃ kāñcanabhūṣitāṅgam | marakatacandrakāntasūryakāntamaṇibhir jyotirmayatarangair vibhūṣitaṃ hemanibaddhacakram ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Hearing Sātyaki’s words at once, Dāruka promptly readied the finest chariot—its limbs adorned with gold, its wheels bound with golden fittings, and its body shimmering with wave-like radiance from emerald, moonstone, and sunstone gems. Having prepared it, he respectfully informed Lord Kṛṣṇa with joined hands. The passage underscores disciplined service: swift, careful action performed with reverence toward rightful authority.
