दानपात्रापात्र-निर्णयः / Determining Worthy Gifts, Recipients, and Permissible Food
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत शान्तिपर्वके अन्तर्गत राजधर्मानुशासनपर्वमें व्यासवाक्यविषयक छत्तीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ,रथके ऊपर तना हुआ वह श्वेत छत्र आकाशमें तारिकाओंसे व्याप्त श्वेत बादलके समान शोभा पाता था ।।
cāmaravyajane tv asya vīrau jagṛhatus tadā | candraraśmiprabhē śubhrē mādrīputrāvalaṅkṛte ||
At that time, the two heroic sons of Mādrī—Nakula and Sahadeva—took into their hands the white yak-tail fans and ceremonial fans, radiant like moonbeams and adorned with shining ornaments. The scene underscores royal decorum: attendants honor the sovereign with auspicious emblems, expressing disciplined service and the dignity of righteous kingship.
व्यास उवाच
The verse highlights rajadharma through symbolism: righteous kingship is supported by disciplined attendants and auspicious royal emblems. Proper service (seva) and decorum are presented as part of sustaining social order and the dignity of rule.
Nakula and Sahadeva, the two sons of Mādrī, take up bright white ceremonial fans (cāmara and vyajana), described as radiant like moonbeams, to attend and honor the central figure (‘his’) in a formal royal setting.
