एष तत्रैव गच्छामि यत्र तिष्ठत्यसौ द्विज: । सर्वथा चोक्तवान् वाक््यं स कृतार्थ: प्रयास्यति
eṣa tatraiva gacchāmi yatra tiṣṭhaty asau dvijaḥ | sarvathā coktavān vākyaṃ sa kṛtārthaḥ prayāsyati ||
The Nāga said: “I shall go at once to the very place where that Brahmin stands. Whatever he has spoken, I will carry out in full, so that he may depart from here completely fulfilled of his purpose.”
नाग उवाच
The verse emphasizes ethical resolve: honoring a righteous person’s instruction and acting decisively so that the other’s purpose is fulfilled—an expression of dharma through obedience, integrity, and respect.
The Nāga declares that he will immediately go to where the Brahmin is present and will carry out the Brahmin’s stated instruction completely, ensuring that the Brahmin can leave satisfied and successful.
