Atithi-satkāra and the Consolation of Wise Counsel (अतिथिसत्कारः प्रज्ञानवचनस्य च पराश्वासनम्)
निरुक्त वेदविदुषो वेदशब्दार्थचिन्तका: । ते मां गायन्ति प्राग्वंशे अधोक्षज इति स्थिति:
nirukta-vedaviduṣo veda-śabdārtha-cintakāḥ | te māṃ gāyanti prāgvaṃśe adhokṣaja iti sthitiḥ ||
Those learned in the Vedas—skilled in etymology and in reflecting on the meanings of Vedic words—sit in the prāgvaṃśa (a section of the sacrificial hall) and sing of my glory by the name “Adhokṣaja.” Therefore it is established that my name is “Adhokṣaja,” grounded in Vedic praise and understanding.
तामिन्द्र उवाच गच्छ नहुषस्त्वया वाच्योथ<पूर्वेण मामृषियुक्तेन यानेन त्वमधिरूढ
