Atithi-prāpti and the Brāhmaṇa’s Deliberation on Triadic Dharma (अतिथिप्राप्तिः धर्मत्रयविचारश्च)
प्रादुर्भावं गमिष्यामि तदा$5त्मज्ञानदैशिक: । एवमुक्त्वा हयशिरास्तत्रैवान्तरधीयत
prādurbhāvaṁ gamiṣyāmi tadātmjñāna-daiśikaḥ | evam uktvā hayaśirās tatraivāntaradhīyata ||
Vyāsa said: “At that time I shall manifest before you as a spiritual preceptor who bestows knowledge of the Self.” Having spoken thus, Hayagrīva (the Horse-headed Lord) vanished from that very place.
व्यास उवाच
When duties and divine tasks become overwhelming, the remedy is not mere force but right understanding: guidance grounded in ātma-jñāna (self-knowledge) arrives to stabilize the mind and enable dharmic action.
Hayagrīva promises to manifest in the future as a teacher of self-knowledge when needed, and after giving this assurance he disappears on the spot; Vyāsa reports this speech.
