Aśvaśiras / Hayaśiras Narrative: Retrieval of the Vedas

Nārada said: “He is perceived through the discipline of knowledge (jñāna-yoga). From Him, we two have also come forth. Knowing that Self in this way, we both worship that eternal Lord.”
नारद उवाच
The verse teaches that the Supreme Self is not grasped by mere external means but is directly realized through jñāna-yoga (disciplined knowledge and inner discernment). Recognizing the Self as the source from which beings arise naturally culminates in reverent worship—devotion grounded in insight.
Nārada is speaking and points to a realization shared by “we two” (dual): they understand that their own manifestation originates from the eternal Self. On the basis of this knowledge, they respond not with pride but with worship of the सनातन (eternal) परमात्मा.
