बभौ तदा भावितात्मा विधूम इव पावक: । कुरुनन्दन! अपने पिताके समान ही परम उत्तम रूप और कान्ति धारण किये पवित्रात्मा शुकदेव धूमरहित अग्निके समान देदीप्यमान हो रहे थे
babhau tadā bhāvitātmā vidhūma iva pāvakaḥ | kurunandana! apne pitāke samāna hī param-uttama rūpa aur kānti dhāraṇ kiye pavitrātmā śukadeva dhūmarahita agni ke samāna dīdyamāna ho rahe the |
Bhishma said: “At that time the self-disciplined sage shone forth like a smokeless fire. O joy of the Kurus, pure-souled Śukadeva, bearing a supremely excellent form and radiance like that of his father, blazed brilliantly—like flame without smoke.”
