Śuka’s Guṇa-Transcendence and Vyāsa’s Consolation (शुकगति-वर्णनम्)

सौकुमार्य तथा रूपं वपुरग्म्रं तथा वयः । तवैतानि समस्तानि नियमश्षेति संशय:

“Delicacy, beauty, a charming body, and youth—taken together, all these seem contrary to yoga and discipline. Yet in you, along with all these qualities, yoga and observance (niyama) are present as well. This is the doubt that troubles my mind.”
