अहःक्षयमथो बुद्ध्वा निशि स्वप्नमनास्तथा | चोदयामास भगवानव्यक्तोडहंकृतं नरम्
When the Blessed Brahmā perceives that “my day has come to its end,” the wish to rest in the night arises within him; therefore he rouses Rudra—the deity who bears the principle of egoity (ahaṃkāra)—to carry out dissolution (saṃhāra).
