पञज्चवर्षकदेशीयो बालो नागेन्द्रविक्रम: । सहसोत्पतितं व्याप्रमाससाद महाबलम्,उस बालककी अवस्था अभी पाँच वर्षकी थी तो भी वह गजराजके समान पराक्रमी था। वह सहसा उछलकर आये हुए एक महाबली बाघके पास जा पहुँचा
pañcavarṣakadeśīyo bālo nāgendravikramaḥ | sahasotpatitaṃ vyāghram āsasāda mahābalam ||
Parvata said: Though the child was only about five years of age, he possessed the prowess of a lordly elephant. Seeing a mighty tiger suddenly spring forth, he at once went straight up to it—showing fearless resolve and extraordinary strength even in tender years.
