Thus, in the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Śānti Parvan and specifically the Mokṣa-dharma section, the two-hundred-and-ninety-first chapter—connected with the teaching called the Parāśara-gītā—comes to an end.
पराशर उवाच
This line is a colophon marking the end of a chapter; it does not state a new doctrine, but situates the preceding teaching within the Mokṣa-dharma portion of the Śānti Parvan and identifies it as part of the Parāśara-gītā discourse.
The text formally closes the chapter: it announces that the 291st adhyāya in the Śānti Parvan’s Mokṣa-dharma section—associated with Parāśara’s instruction—has concluded.
