रन्ध्रागतमथाश्चानां शिखोद्भेदश्न बर्हिणाम् । नेत्ररोग: कोकिलस्य ज्वरः प्रोक्तो महात्मना
Translation
Bhishma said: “In horses, the growth of flesh that enters the opening of the throat is their fever. In peacocks, the sprouting of the crest (śikhā) is their fever. And the eye-disease of the kokila is also declared to be fever by the great-souled Shiva.”
