ततः स सुचिरं दृष्टवा स्पृहालग्नेन चक्षुषा । मृगमालोक्य हिंसायां स्वर्गवासं समर्थयत्
Translation
Then Satyam gazed for a long while, his eyes caught by longing. After dwelling on that delightful vision, he looked toward the deer and resolved within himself: “Only by doing violence to it can I win the joy of dwelling in heaven.”
