नारद–असित (देवल) संवादः — भूतप्रभवाप्यय, इन्द्रिय-गुण-विवेक, क्षेत्रज्ञ-तत्त्व

अनालम्भे हादोष: स्यादालम्भे दोष उत्तम: | एवं स्थितस्य शास्त्रस्य दुर्विज्ञेये बलाबलम्
Translation
“For in rites such as sacrifice, if one does not undertake the ‘taking up’ (ālambha), no fault is incurred; but if one undertakes it, a grave fault is incurred. With the teaching standing thus, the strength and weakness of the Vedic injunctions are exceedingly hard to discern.”
