चिरमन्वास्य विदुषश्रिरं शिष्टान् निषेव्य च । चिरं विनीय चात्मानं चिरं यात्यनवज्ञताम्
Translation
Bhīṣma said: “For a long time one should keep company with the learned and serve those of disciplined conduct; for a long time one should train oneself and restrain one’s own mind. By this, a man becomes not an object of contempt, but a rightful recipient of honor.”
