दम्पत्यो: प्राणसंश्लेषे योडभिसंधि: कृत: किल । त॑ माता च पिता चेति भूतार्थो मातरि स्थित:
Translation
In the life-joining of husband and wife, the resolve formed to obtain a worthy child is said to be borne by both—father and mother—yet in its true import that resolve rests chiefly in the mother.
