प्रलय-प्रक्रिया (Pralaya Process) — Guṇa-Withdrawal and Pratisaṃcara
श्रीर्वाच नो धाता न विधाता मां विद्धाति कथंचन । कालस्तु शक्र पर्यागान्मैनं शक्रावमन्यथा:
śrīr uvāca—no dhātā na vidhātā māṃ viddhāti kathaṃcana | kālas tu śakra paryāgān mainaṃ śakrāvamanyathāḥ ||
Śrī (Lakṣmī) said: “Neither Dhātā nor Vidhātā can appoint or direct me in any way. It is only Time (Kāla) whose command I must obey. That very Time has now appeared, impelling me to abandon Bali. O Śakra (Indra), do not disregard that Time.”
शक्र उवाच
Prosperity (Śrī) is not controlled even by cosmic ‘ordainers’ like Dhātā and Vidhātā; it moves according to Kāla (Time). Therefore, one should not be arrogant in success or despair in loss—both are subject to Time’s turning.
Śrī (Lakṣmī) addresses Indra, explaining that she is compelled by Kāla to leave Bali. She warns Indra not to slight Kāla, implying that Indra’s own rise and fall are likewise governed by Time.
