Attaining the Brahman-Station: The Vow of Equanimity in Mokṣadharma

अनिष्टस्थ हि निर्व॑त्तिरनिर्व त्ति: प्रियस्य च । लक्ष्यते यतमानानां पुरुषार्थस्तत: कुत:

Prahlāda said: “Yet we see that those who strive for what they desire may also obtain what they do not desire, and be deprived of the fulfillment of what they seek. Where, then, is the supremacy of personal effort?”
