सत्ये कुरु स्थिरं भावं मा राजन्ननृतं कृथा: । कस्मात्त्वमनृतं वाक्‍्यं देहीति कुरुषेडशुभम्‌

Translation

O great king, set your mind firmly in truth; do not, O king, resort to falsehood. If you had no intention of taking, why did you utter from your own mouth the words “Give it to me”—a lying and inauspicious speech?
