Manu’s Instruction

राजोवाच धिग्राजधर्म यस्यायं कार्यस्येह विनिश्चय: । इत्यर्थ मे ग्रहीतव्यं कथं तुल्यं भवेदिति
Translation
The king said: “Shame upon the king’s dharma, for here this deed has come to such a conclusion. This is the meaning I must grasp: how may the brāhmaṇa and I obtain an equal fruit? For that very purpose I wish to accept this gift.”
